Bridging Science and Patient Care with Lab Screening

Hayan Orfaly, MD • Jul 09, 2019
As I promised you before, Boadway Elite Medical does not believe in band-aid medicine. I would like to announce today that we are now linked with a unique laboratory, that is well known nationwide and even worldwide. This laboratory specializes in bridging science and precision patient care.

In order for me to simplify this and make it comprehensible to you dear patients, I am going to give you this common example:

Let’s suppose Mr. X is a 50-year-old ordinary man, who has no complaints or any past medical history, except for some vague symptoms like fatigue and probably lack of energy at times in which he attributes to his daily life activities, age, etc., In general Mr. X consider himself as well as his family to be completely normal. Mr. X wakes up today with severe chest pain and shortness of breath. His family rushes him to the emergency room and he is found to have had an acute heart attack. Mr. X is seen by the cardiologist, he gets a cardiac catheterization, and he is found to have severe coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease means that all of his heart vessels are clogged up. He now requires immediate triple bypass surgery.

Mr. X, unfortunately, goes through a lot of suffering during and after his surgery and he is left with serious sequels with massive residual health problems all related to his heart disease. Now his entire lifestyle has to be changed, although “a day before all this to happen” he was mowing his yard, and simply was feeling great not only normal!!

After this common scenario my dear patients, my question to you is “was this preventable?”, And my short answer to this is yes because nowadays we could have screened this patient prior to this horrible outcome with a simple blood test that would predict this catastrophe before it happens. Hence, do what is necessary to prevent this in an early stage. This type of care is called “precision medicine” or “precision patient care”.

I'd like to announce to you my dear patients, that we offer these types of testing. This testing is not only for heart disease but also tens and even hundreds of other diseases that could be predicted years before it happens and cause irreversible damages and serious disability, to the patient and his family.

Wait!! I am not through yet...the good news is most of these tests are covered under insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid.

So dear patients don’t hesitate to get in touch with our office today, to discuss if you need such testing to be done. It is a simple blood drawn test that will predict problems which can be prevented way long before they occur..... all in a very simple way thanks to Precision Patient Care and Biosciences.
